Redención – Catharsis Project

Redención is a handmade oil painting on canvas that is included in the collection “Catharsis Project”.
It is an abstract portrait that expresses the different souls that coexist within each of us. It does this through overlapping, fragmented facial features, creating a layered and surreal effect.
The model sat for my painting in Meteora, Greece, where the majestic rock formations and serene atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop to capture the portrait’s intensity.
Bold brushstrokes blend blues, purples, and reds into a dynamic portrait that delves into psychological depths. Multiple overlapping facial features create a sense of movement, representing the internal cathartic process, while a neutral background amplifies both the vibrant colors and emotional intensity of the subject.
This psychological painting explores the depths of the human soul. It is an invitation to look within and release the emotions that lie deep within.
It’s part of the “Catharsis Project” collection, which examines the delicate balance between clarity and chaos on a journey toward redemption.
